- Motorcycles comprise approximately 2% of the vehicles on our roads.
- Of those motorcycles on the roads, more than 90% of those riders involved in crashes were either self-taught or learned from a friend or family member.
- Motorcycle rider training experience reduces accident involvement and is related to reduced injuries in the event of accidents.
- Participation in a motorcycle rider course is mandatory in the State of Florida.
Take time to learn to ride the right way. Motorcycle Training Foundation is committed to increasing the number of properly educated motorcyclists on the streets and highways in an attempt to help reduce the number of motorcycle-related crashes.

Safety Thought
Protective equipment doesn't have to be expensive, but it does have to be worn if you expect it to protect you in a crash. Every time you ride, here is what you need to wear for your safety:
- Helmet - DOT Approved
- Eye Protection
- Protective Jacket
- Full-Fingered Gloves
- Long Pants
- Sturdy Over-the-Ankle Boots
Your protection and safety depends on being aware of the risks while riding, and taking the necessary steps to maintain your safety in every situation.
